Girl at Noon

"A something in a summer's Day
As slow her flambeaux burn away
Which solemnizes me.
A something in a summer's noon—
A depth—an Azure—a perfume—
Transcending ecstasy."
(Emily Dickinson)
I love this! The photo has an old feeling to it, like it was taken decades ago.
ReplyDeleteI had only my phone camera, but I followed the family for some time, until I finally managed to snap a picture of the girl.
DeleteAhhh Viennese sunshine, lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe have had some very hot summer days so far! ;-)
DeleteThank you all for your kind comments!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Merisi
The girl is using a stick, so I imagine that she may be a slim, elegant, "woman of a certain age"!
ReplyDeleteA familiar sight in Vienna :)
@daybreak: It was a little girl, playing with the stick. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWie Gemälde eines Impressionisten! Wunderbar!
