When i first moved to Vienna, I had a really hard time remembering all those strange street names:
ReplyDeleteKohlmarkt (Cabbage Market?), Graben (Ditch? Trench? Moat?). One fine day I actually wrote "Kohlgraben" (Cabbage Ditch). True story.
