Caffè Shakerato
Iced coffee, shaken, not stirred
How to make Caffè Shakerato:
Put freshly brewed espresso coffee
in a Martini shaker, add some ice-cubes,
and shake, shake, shake, until the coffee's ice-cold
I prefer it without sugar,
but it's not against the law to add some.
Whichever you prefer, it will be the best-tasting iced coffee ever

Merisi, the pop up caffe looks like a refreshing spot. I love the shake, shake, shake instruction that will lead to delicious iced coffee. I also prefer my iced coffee without sugar, but with a touch of sunshine.

Sunshine's always great! ;-)
DeleteI knew shakerato from Rome, but this was my first in Vienna.
POP UP CAFES...................such an odd concept to me!
ReplyDeleteADORE ICED COFFEE!
The coffee shop literally "pops up" in the anteroom of a pub. The pub is closed during the day, but has all the accoutrements for a great coffee place.
DeleteThe coffee looks elegant in that wine glass. Can we call it a wine glass now, I wonder?
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should contact Riedel and suggest a shakerato glass? ;-)
DeleteI'd at least give it a try, though I'm not usually one for coffee.
ReplyDeleteGreat espresso is essential, only then will the iced coffee be as delightful as Atelier's (on a par with what I know from that great coffee nation south of the border). ;-)
DeleteAll fab pictures Merisi, the first and last, the still life's are my favourites though both very cool..
ReplyDeleteThank you, Geoff! :-)
DeleteA very cool place! Iced coffee in a wine glass is very classy!
ReplyDeleteEverything about that coffee is classy, from beans to baristas to shakerato! ;-)
DeleteThe elegance of your captures is amazing. Thank you
ReplyDeleteThank YOU! :-)
DeleteThis sounds delicious! Perfect for the hot weekend ahead.
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteStay cool! :-)
One day..... I will drink coffee and eat cakes in your beautiful city!
ReplyDeleteAs always, beautiful and delicate images..... I just want to jump on a plane just NOW.
May your wish come true, soon! :-)
Delete*smile* Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see these bright contemporary spaces. Vienna in summer remains so very high on my travel wish-list - a wish fed entirely by your fabulous pictures!
ReplyDeleteme too .. black no sugar ...
ReplyDeleteI, too, like iced coffee, various way. I also like vodka martini, stirred, not shaken!!
ReplyDeleteI like iced coffee as you present it here, but in Germany what you usually get is coffee with a scoop of ice cream in it, which is a bit weird.
ReplyDeleteyum
