Merisi's New Year's Resolutions
#1 Taking more Coffee Breaks

Café Central
I took this picture way back in November 2007,
with my little Sony Cybershot -
Little did I know back then about
operating a digital camera, and I was happy
to just point and shoot my daily "Alltagsfreuden"
in my still new to me hometown, Vienna

  1. The beginning of your journey, is an adventure constantly renewing and refreshing our "outside" view of Vienna. I have been coming to V. since 1993, and honestly cannot remember when I first found your website; but now I cannot go without my regular fix of Pictures from Merisi.
Thanks for sharing so much, and B/W still has a good place in your photo-journal.
    Happy New Year.

    1. Thank you so much, Kurwenal, for your kind words!
Knowing you are out there, looking at my pictures, makes me go on, into my eleventh year now.
Happy New Year to you, too, and many return visits to Vienns,
      Merisi

    1. Even after a decade of living in Vienna, I still have to learn the art of enjoying the pleasures of coffee houses more fully, sit down, savour, pretend time stands still. ;-)

  5. Vienna must be a very 'walkable' city - especially with so many places to rest and refresh with a coffee or two. I must say your daily posts make me want to book a flight and join you!

    1. Yes, walkable it is, indeed! It is very tempting to meander, on and on. ;-)
You should book that flight, I'd say.

Your post today is beautiful, but your New Year's Resolution #1
made me laugh out loud. I can't imagine my friend Merisi without
a cup of coffee and a camera at all times.
