Merisi, isn't it marvelous how those catkins viewed through the window are a perfect accent for the stairway landing's composition? I imagine that the stairway predates the hazel, but perhaps it's the other way around.
My eyes were immediately drawn to the catkins! The apartment building is more than a hundred years old. When I first visited, the daughter of the family that built it was still living there. The hazel bush could well go back a hundred years too.
The window certainly draws my attention.
