Angels in the Golden Hour
In the Emperor's Garden at Sunset


Angels
Burggarten
Formerly the emperor's private garden,
next to the imperial palace's palm house and the library building


More angels, and in the background the palm house,
a steel and glass orangery, designed by the Viennese architect Friedrich Ohman,
constructed in the years 1901 to 1906


Walking into the Sunset
The Burggarten was opened to the public in 1918

In the background, beyond the Ringstraße, the MuseumsQuarter
and, to the right, the Museum of Natural History

    In my childhood, I used to jump in the leaf-mounds in the Burggarten, much to the dismay of the gardeners. Thank you for bringing back such a joyous memory!
