South Side of the Upper Belvedere Palace
Due to strong storm and gale warnings, the Christmas markets
remained closed on this last day of November 2015
Stormy Weather
A view of the city from the Upper Belvedere -
have you spotted the rainbow?
Moments after the sun had broken briefly through the clouds
to illuminate the city down the hill, heavy raindrops started falling
Everyone hurried towards a shelter from the rain,
only the sphinx stayed behind, seemingly unperturbed
Photographed today at lunch hour

Wow, what a difference!
ReplyDeleteI read in the paper today about the hurricane-force winds in Vienna and across Austria. Oi!
The storm's still howling in full force, a bit upsetting.
DeleteLovely vistas framed by the dark sky. Looks chilly and wet.
ReplyDeleteI caught this one moment when the sun broke through the clouds for a moment and illuminated the city. It was not too chilly, just very windy and very wet. I got home soaked. ;-)
DeleteI really like these dramatic skies.
ReplyDeleteI was there to take some photographs of the Christmas market during lunch hour. The stalls were closed, but I enjoyed the dramatic sky instead. Until I got soaked, that is. ;-)
