The Autumn
Go, sit upon the lofty hill,
And turn your eyes around,
Where waving woods and waters wild
Do hymn an autumn sound.
The summer sun is faint on them --
The summer flowers depart --
Sit still -- as all transform'd to stone,
Except your musing heart.

This is so beautiful, Merisi! Autumn is my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteI love the depths in these pictures...and the yellows!
ReplyDeleteI like how you have captured the play of light in your pictures. Almost full dynamic range. Thank you

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, very soothing photos of subtle autumn colours.
ReplyDeleteLovely scene! Enchanting pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou still have the lovely sunshine. The golden Viennese sun turning the world golden.........
ReplyDeleteThose golden colors are eye candies.

ReplyDeleteMerisi
oh so beautiful so golden … i bet the air was crisp and bright
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking - only nature can make yellow so rich and glowing. Vienna looks the "right" city for Fall. The nostalgia of the trees shedding their leaves is not sad, because it's surrounded by so much culture, and so many things going on in the city - it would be a hard to stay depressed with all this beauty!
ReplyDeleteMagnificent and golden beyond measure. Thank you for a beautiful start to an equally golden
ReplyDeleteautumn morning in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.
