Cherry Blossoms
Vienna in Spring

Saturday Morning
Cherry blossoms at their peak,
three weeks ago,
in a park in the 6th District

Cherry Blossoms and Mural

I love this small park,
an oasis only steps from busy streets
in the middle of Mariahilf District

  2. That park is a gem I can see, and flowering cherries are the height of beauty. Even the pink petals on the ground are lovely.

  5. Isn't it grand to have that cherry blossom avenue? The collection over in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is just about to pop, too.

Merisi, I'm also keeping an eye out on the Park Ave. tulips...they may just bloom by Easter. xo

  27. Does anyone go outside wearing sweat pants in Vienna? Everything there is just too beautiful to walk outside looking sloppy.

    1. Hardly anyone. Nobody, really. Even joggers wear smart well-fitting sportswear.

    1. So true, Vicki!
Our drive way in DC was lined by the same cherry trees and I would put a temporary barricade at the entrance when the petals started falling, floating down like pink snowflakes. I did not want the thick petal carpet to be destroyed before its time.
