Saturday Morning
Cherry blossoms at their peak,
three weeks ago,
in a park in the 6th District
Cherry Blossoms and Mural
Richard-Waldemar-Park
I love this small park,
an oasis only steps from busy streets
in the middle of Mariahilf District

Makes my eyes happy and my heart sing. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat park is a gem I can see, and flowering cherries are the height of beauty. Even the pink petals on the ground are lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely. I was just taking some pics of my yard tonight.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty indeed, Merisi!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it grand to have that cherry blossom avenue? The collection over in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is just about to pop, too.
ReplyDeleteMerisi, I'm also keeping an eye out on the Park Ave. tulips...they may just bloom by Easter. xo
Frances, I am looking forward to see Park Avenue in bloom, vicariously!
DeleteI may come to NY, hoping at least to be able to schedule it in. xxx

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone go outside wearing sweat pants in Vienna? Everything there is just too beautiful to walk outside looking sloppy.
ReplyDeleteHardly anyone. Nobody, really. Even joggers wear smart well-fitting sportswear.
DeleteWow wow wow! So beautiful! Here we are still waiting for our spring buds...
ReplyDeleteOne should dance down that walkway!
ReplyDeleteSo true, Vicki!
DeleteOur drive way in DC was lined by the same cherry trees and I would put a temporary barricade at the entrance when the petals started falling, floating down like pink snowflakes. I did not want the thick petal carpet to be destroyed before its time.
