ReplyDeleteYou are mentioned on COREY's POST TODAY!I never did go back and find out if YOU are indeed ITALIAN or just speak.........HOw do you know COREY?I'm a curious gal and love how we all are connected!I have been making PAVLOVA's this past week for DESSERTS!I danced as a child and attended ballet class five days a week.........I so wanted to become a PROFESSIONAL...................XX
Alright, here the link to Corey's blogpost (I invited here to join me in Venice back then - did not know she'd post again, otherwise I'd have loved to show some of my pictures, too).
DeleteEven though you did not become a professional ballerina, you carry yourself with the grace of one, to say the least, mia cara contessa!
I have not yet tasted a PAVLOVA :-(
Amazing images. The first two are particularly stunning.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteThat second shot is particularly spectacular.
ReplyDeleteThank you, William!
DeletePalais Lobkowitz is so beautiful, rendering any exhibition there special (and I have seen several there over the years).
Lovely pictures¨they look great in b/w. Enjoyed my visit here!

artmusedog and carol
Thank you, Carol! :-)
DeleteLovely post and images! This must have been a wonderful exhibition which I would have enjoyed as I had ballet classes for many years.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Miss b!
DeleteThe exhibition traveled also to other locations, notably the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC and to London's Victoria & Albert Museum. You may try to find a catalogue online!
Maybe I should have said there were various exhibitions to the theme "Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes"
DeleteSuch artistry in the images --lovely!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteTHANK YOU! Merisi, you definitely outdid yourself today with the lovely photographs (esp. #3) and also the links. I can now say that I saw Anna Pavlova dance and the following parody was priceless. The only thing missing was a picture of a Pavlova on a silver tray with the coffee and water with the turned down spoon. Get over to
ReplyDeleteDemel's right away! This post is one of your classics!
oh lovely .. just lovely
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful -- especially the second. Oh, that floor!
