Schönbrunn's Gloriette
Vienna in Autumn

Schönbrunn's Gloriette
Approaching from the north-east entrance
of the palace gardens during golden hour

South Façade
Facing the park and the palace
at the bottom of the hill

Looking Eastwards
A path leading toward the eastern gate
and a view of the city beyond

View from the Gloriette
Schönbrunn Palace at the bottom of the hill
in golden evening light, moments after the sun
disappeared behind a bank of clouds in the west

  2. I'm envious. Magnificent setting, and you capture it so beautifully.

  3. Those were the days for the rich who could afford to build a Gloriette for no particular reason. At least it gives us a wonderful sight of a bygone era.
