Luminous September Days
Viennese Escapes

September
It seems these luminous days
will never end.

The city,
which was almost empty during August,
now is filling up again.

It is
being replenished.

The restaurants
are all reopening, the shops.

People are coming back
from the country, the sea,

from trips on roads
all jammmed with cars.

  3. Interesting to read that the city is filling up, September always has the feeling of a new year for us too.

  4. The statue in the first photo is so graceful and beautiful. Autumn is beginning to show her face all around the northern hemisphere these days...our only hint here so far is the shorter days...we are waiting...

  7. Your photos are a luminous reflection of Vienna's beauty. I would love to sit at that terrace table surrounded by red geraniums.

On my only trip to Vienna (so far) I shared wonderful memories with my sister Nanette and there was much time spent at café tables plotting our next adventure. Glad to know that you have these lasting reminders too.
