I opted to sit down
and enjoy the street life,
tram passing, people walking by,
ordinary Viennese scenes, only
two blocks from busy Belvedere
The City Daily Photo group's August theme is "Take-Away Store"
Mann Bakery certainly qualifies
Mann, like most Viennese bakeries,
offers a wide variety of take-out food,
from breads and pastries to sandwiches,
and, of course, very good coffee.
A complimentary cookie's included,
true to their motto, Der Mann der verwöhnt seit 1860 -
The Mann who pampers you since 1860:
Mann happens to be the owner's family name,
but Mann also means "man" in German,
hence the wordplay of their slogan

They looked really tempting, but I had a "brioche bagel" with lettuce, tomato and feta cheese for lunch, only a couple hours earlier, during another break. ;-)
