Salzburg from one of the surrounding Hills
Thunder clouds rolling in and out
of the valley on an otherwise
sunny midsummer day
Country Inn on the Hill
What better shelter from threatening rain?
Apple Strudel and Coffee, anyone?
The rain never came and we enjoyed
a coffee break on the terrace with a splendid view

Just needed a rainbow to be perfect. Oh, and me sitting there enjoying the coffee and strudel...
ReplyDeleteSomehow I think strudel and coffee would taste better in the hills of Vienna than anywhere else in the world.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it. I long to go there. Apple strudel in Salzburg? Great share darling.
ReplyDeleteWe were in Salzburg in the summer many years ago and I did, indeed, feel like twirling around in the meadows and singing -- what a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteWie gerne möcht' ich mit dir tauschen! Die Aussicht ist fast besser als der Strudel aber die Kombination ist das Allerbeste.
ReplyDeleteAh, wish I were there enjoying the strudel right now!! Wonderful captures as always, Merisi! Hope you have a lovely new week!
ReplyDeleteThe country inn rather reminds me of the place my parents had in our cottage country- the man who built it went with that alpine chalet style.
ReplyDeleteAnd that strudel looks much too tempting!
ReplyDeleteTruly very lovely, Merisi!
ReplyDeleteYes, please, to the strudel and coffee! I'd eat cardboard if it meant I could sit and enjoy that view!
ReplyDeleteStrudel and coffee. Photos bring back memories of our B & B on the hillside here.
