  1. The photos are not worthy of the splendid view, but I wanted to share this place with you.
Make a reservation asap if you plan to come to Vienna soon, a mental note if you plan a later visit.
The view is out of this world. We watched the sun setting in the west, beyond the hills of the Vienna Woods, with "Violet" Spritzers and an assortment of exquisite appetizers.

    1. Thank you!
(I was a bit hesitant to use these not so perfect pictures, shot through two thick layers of glass, but then I thought they still conway what a great view we had.)

    1. This is by far the tallest, so far, Amy.
They are also going to have a rooftop terrace. Can't wait to get up there! ;-)

    1. My "twinkling light" pictures are worse than the sunset ones. I need to get back and try to do the view a bit more justice. I was honestly not prepared that evening, having had other plans originally.

  11. What a lovely view.
    57th floor is so high.
    My legs would be weak
with the thought of being so high.
The view would be worth it.

    1. Marilyn,
I am rather chicken about heights, but riding up in an elevator in great company, I never even thought about that! The view is so gorgeous, the waitstaff at 57 bar so friendly, the drink and food so good, all I felt was utter pleasure. ;-)

Aha. So schauts von dort oben aus. Interessant die Spiegelung des Himmels in der Donau. Grüße aus dem Gebirge, Ernestus.
