Lovely photos... But isn't it amazing? How many modern day lines, and inventions, dangle in our midst? We learn to disregard them, most of the time... So they don't interfere with the beauty, around us.
Oh yes, modern lights and traffic control and etc., make modern day life more livable. But sigh, everything (both man made and natural) must have been more lovely to view, before the lines and gizmos.
Silly thought I know. We are stuck with them. But I often "notice" them. Like in your last photo. And when I try to picture the little woods, across from our house... And the lines strung between poles, get in my way.
I share your observation, too often beauty's marred by convenience, lack of funds, even sheer thoughtlessness. Regarding leaving in earlier times, in what we now consider more laid-back ones, I much prefer the present age, so much more pleasant for common men and women! ;-)
