Prince Eugene's "casa" is quite beautiful; lovely reflection---perfect!
ReplyDeleteUn casone grande, indeed! ;)
DeleteFor once, built by someone who earned every spoil he ever indulged in.
Love them all...have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary,
Deleteenjoy your weekend!
Where is my "com" ???
ReplyDeleteI hope you "une très belle et douce année 2014" !
Very beautiful photos of the end and begenning of the year ! Bravo !
Thank you, and a Happy New Year to you, too! :-)
Delete(I'm afraid I don't grab the meaning of Where is my "com"? - *puzzledlook*
Looks like an amazing place
ReplyDeleteAn Arkie's Musings
It is, indeed. I am in awe every time I walk through the garden gate.
DeleteSo tolle Fotos! Das erste ist sowieso einfach traumhaft! Muss da echt endlich mal wieder hin....
ReplyDeleteLG Mary
Danke! :-)
DeleteThe Belvedere is always worth a visit and balsam for the soul, isn't it?
Cool! Amazing captures!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteBeautiful blog and glorious photos. Thank you for coming along to mine. F x
ReplyDeleteThank you, my pleasure! :-)
DeleteI visited Vienna back in 2010 and Belvedere was one of my favouirte locations that we saw. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! :-)
DeletePrince Eugene's legacy goes way beyond having won important battles for the crown. He's one of my favorite historical figures.
Magical! The reflection is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe whole place oozes magic, as simple as that.
DeleteTh magnificence of the palace and it's reflection erase the market stalls.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the Christmas choo choo train.
It's interesting how they almost disappear, isn't it?
DeleteI can't help but wonder why those huts must be so desperately ugly. Somewhere, some time ago, I have seen sketches or proposals of new models. They looked even worse, I thought. ;-)
What a gorgeous place! I could spend hours photographing that scene.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, some people actually do so. ;-)
DeleteDo you think Prince Eugene would mind if I moved into one of his rooms on the top floor?
ReplyDeleteI am sure he'd have loved to have you move in and would have been eager to learn more about your continent! Did you know that he arrived as a very young man at Vienna's Court, a refugee from the French king. I have heard him called "the most successful refugee ever" to be given safe haven in Austria.
DeleteP.S.: You'd allow me to take pictures from your upper floor perch, wouldn't you? I'd recommend the north side, one of the best panoramic views of Vienna. ;-)
DeleteThe same amazing place as photos. As always ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year !!!
Thank you and Happy New Year to you, too! :-)
DeleteReflections in Vienna are the BEST!
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup! :-)
DeleteHow about looking for some in Paris? There must be some ponds around, too. ;-)
Christmas market sounds like fun place to explore.
ReplyDeletePaz,
Deletethere are so many around here at Christmastime, I only manage to see a few each year. The "village" up at the Belvedere was quite fun, a Luna Park for the wee ones and the market stalls were interesting, too. I even had a good lunch there, apple sausage. I wished I'd found the time to visit again and eat another one. ;-)
What a beautiful place and so colorful!! I would love to visit there!! Wonderful captures as always, Merisi, thanks for sharing!! Have a great new week!
ReplyDeleteQuelle merveille d'architecture ce château ! J'admire Vienne, cette ville est un bijou, une splendeur. Tes photos sont magiques. Belle et douce année chère Merisi, bisous
