"What is love? 'Tis not hereafter;
Present mirth has present laughter;
What's to come is still unsure.
In delay there lies no plenty,
Then come and kiss me sweet and twenty;
Youth's a stuff will not endure."
Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

What a sweet post to appeal to all senses! I've not played the canon at a piano for many years, but this makes me remember how I love the piece. Beautiful images and a lovely Shakespeare quote. I saw Twelfth Night recently and loved the production.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish for that beautiful music to radiate. have a great weekend :)

ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat was one of my mother's favourite pieces. Very soothing.
ReplyDeleteAnd Twelfth Night is one of my favourite Shakespearean plays. I've seen several productions and have a film version from the 90s.
