Those tupelo fruits look like golden balls.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how the sun paints the world in golden finery! ;-)
DeleteI love it. So pretty and wintery.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteBlue sky winter days are the best.
Beautiful images!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. So nice the birds have fruit to eat!
ReplyDeleteAbundantly so, ready to be picked, in this very mild winter!
DeleteThere were many of these berries strewn over the walkway, soft and squishy.
Beautiful shots... and I really like the last one, just having glimpses of the cathedral amid the vegetation.
ReplyDeleteDid you click on the link at the bottom of this post? The cathedral of St. Nicholas rises like a mirage, the golden domes against the blue sky, as feast for the eyes.
DeleteI have now! An amazing set of shots!
DeleteThe sky is so incredibly blue. It's so rare we have a sky that blue in winter. Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Amy,
DeleteI should have said "posted on a January day with the greyest of grey skies" - unfortunately, the Danube gods have carte blanche over Viennese skies, sending up huge black clouds of fog from the river many a morning. The rising sun often loses the battle with that black-clothed army.
