Scheiterhaufen (literally, Stack of Fire Wood): Bread pudding made with layers of brioche, thinly sliced apples, soaked in a mixture of milk, eggs, rum, and cinnamon, topped with meringue and baked in the oven. Finger-licking good! And no, I did not eat it. My friend enjoyed it very much, though. ;-)
