Christmas Chandeliers at Graben Square
Golden rooftops, painted
by the late afternoon sun,
the Christmas chandeliers all ablaze,
illuminating the square as twilight sets in

I dream of visiting your city. This picture has now been added to the dreamy imagery I keep in my brain of Vienna.
ReplyDeleteChristmas time is magical in Vienna. I spent the day with friends from overseas walking around town, and I fell again all over in love with Christmas in Vienna. I do miss Christmas time in Rome, the candied apple and burnt almond fragrance wafting over Piazza Navona, the shepherds from the Abruzzi skirling Christmas folk tunes, but Vienna sure is sweet comfort.
DeleteI can't help but notice that Vienna is probably the most beautiful city on the planet. At least at this time of the year. Well.. at least through your lens.
ReplyDeleteOh, it does look beautiful!! Wish I were there right now!! Wonderful capture as always, Merisi!! Have a great week!
