Love the hearts! We have lots of stuffed fabric ones I made for the lower part of the tree, back when the boys were young. Still usefuls due to our dogs and cats though occasionally a critter will decide the stuffed hearts look like toys and remove them for chewing.

DeleteOur first Christmas trees were decorated with homemade gingerbread boys and girls. When G learned to move around, she actually pulled down a branch and began eating the gingerbread! From then on, no more edible decorations on the lower branches. ;-)
