Merisi, seeing these photographs has brought me happiness. Now I know that you are back in Vienna with your fabulous eye and camera skill...at a particular season when your city shines.
I didn't realize there were coffee cups on that chandelier until I enlarged the photo - very cool! I love the hues of gold, orange and red in this series of photos.
I thought of you this afternoon because I am reading John Irving's latest novel, In One Person, and part of it takes place in 1960's Vienna. AND THERE ARE COFFEESHOPS EVERYWHERE! So many places mentioned, like the Kohlmarkt, and "the vicinity of the Ringstrasse", and "the corner of the Argentinierstrasse and the Schwindgasse" etc. All these cafes and coffee places! Being familiar with your blog, I know there are STILL a lot of incredible coffee places in Vienna. I wish I could sit in them and drink my fill!
Yes please.
ReplyDeleteI will be there one day I hope.....
I guess there will be places open all the time.
Dear Merisis, Did you receive my e-mail from a few days ago?
