Vienna in Autumn
Stealing Beauty on a Grey November Day

Bricks behind a Window
Rather sad looking façade
in a hidden away courtyard

A November rose bud,
under the window -
someone lovingly tending to flowers,
I also noticed traces of summer's tomato crop

Tram #1
Streetcar, swooshing by,
leaving a ribbon of red behind,
on this grey November day in Vienna

Photographed in Wieden,
Vienna's 4th District,
at lunchtime, 19 November 2013

  3. I could take the tram and sleep my way to work. If we had such a device here.

    1. I have done that, sleep on the tram, past midnight, after a concert.
Got out when I realised I was way beyond my tram stop. Could not find a stop going in the other direction, so I had to walk in high heels for about 2 miles to get home.

  4. It's always wonderful to be able to find some color on gray, autumn days! These are a great example, Merisi! Hope your week is going well!
