I love the crisp, clean lightness of it. And that the pavement meanders a bit like an old garden walk.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture, as ever Merisi you capture light (and in a difficult narrow street). Have you been down the nearby Himmelpfortgasse yet to the Winter Palace of Prince Eugene of Savoy? I was there 2 weeks ago, and it is well worth seeing, but I found it very hard to capture the front ! Bet you will manage something nice though. Best wishes.

I have not yet visited Prince Eugene's winter palace, after the renovation. To capture the façade it would take a special lens, but I will try to shoot some details. Cheers, M.
Would you call those buildings brownstones?
ReplyDeleteI would not. Besides the building material (could there be brownstone hiding under the façade? I suspect this is not a building material used around here), these are buildings that are wider and larger than American row houses or town homes. They are elegant city homes, though. Any architects out there?
