Thin cottony layers of clouds
gathering for Evensong
against a sky
of the palest hues
ringing in
the Blue Hour
Photographed 9 October 2013
Looking up while walking from
Riemergasse past the Church of St Jerome
at Franziskanerplatz, and on to Neuer Markt

ReplyDeleteHope you can come soon! :-)
DeleteMerisi, such a filmy ephemeral combination of blues, with perhaps a whisper of pink could only be caught by fine photographer like you. Other folks would have the option of just stopping in their early evening actions, taking a long pause to just gaze upwards and marvel.
ReplyDeleteLovely! xo
Thank you, Frances, I am really touched by your words! :-)
DeleteThe blue hour is something I look forward to.
ReplyDeleteHello Merisi, I am enjoying your larger format photos. And your wonderful words seem just right for these photos. The "thin cottony layers of clouds" has a lovely ring to it, and that they are gathering for Evensong makes it even lovelier.
ReplyDeleteMerisi, your skies are like a prayer . . .
ReplyDeleteBleu...bleu...true blue
