Fallow Dear

Indian Summer Days
reluctantly cede more gold
to autumn's ways
Gently, though, relucantly,
shades of green still reign supreme
There are those corners, though,
were gold advances at a steady pace,
and even the table set for coffee break
shines in autumnal hues

Some beautiful autumn scenes here.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteLove the look of that Autumnal dessert...
ReplyDeleteWhat's inside?
Crème de leaf?
Fromage maquée (Topfen) topped with quince mousse, all very light and scrumptious!
DeleteOH you ate it?
DeleteMaple leaf I meant...

DeleteAutumn colour, deer and a coffee break = a wonderful day in Vienna.
ReplyDeletei an envious, Vienna with it's parks and gardens and coffee houses and a few waltzes by Strauss must be bliss indeed.
It rather looks like home doesn't it? Fall is here and soon there will be pumpkin pies on the menu, hope the next time you are over we can get together or at least speak on the phone
DeleteOh the Fallow Deers are so beautiful. We are 2,000 miles from Tingsgrove and the journey continues this morning. I am hoping to see some Elk, yet it is hunting season, so they are probably hiding~
Delete@ Arija:
DeleteI wholeheartedly agree, Arija, there are days when Vienna feels like heaven. ;-)
@ Sandi:
DeleteDefinitely, next time better planning (well, let's better say NO SANDY!). You made me realize, though, why I love this park so much: reminds me of East Coast fall colors, when the leaves turn. ;-)
Time to watch Ivory-Merchant's "The Europeans" or "The Trouble with Harry" again.
@ Mary:
DeleteSafe travels! I am looking forward to hear and see all about it!
Love the beginning of the autumn colors. I wish we had more of it here.
ReplyDeleteI never quite thought about that, Louisiana nights being too warm!
DeleteI'd love to join you for a coffee, that cake goes so well with the autumn hues.
ReplyDeleteSarah x
We'd feast and then walk it off! ;-)
DeleteWow! Beautiful! I love autumn! I am heading to NY and Massachusetts next week and can't wait to see the colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Merisi! Wish I was there!
You see, I am wishing to be THERE, East Coast, that is. ;-)
DeleteI was on a road trip along its southern parts a year ago and I am feeling nostalgic. Quite a bit. ;-)
Autumn coloured temptation on a plate...yummy!
ReplyDeleteLike a symphony, leaves and food on the same track. ;-)
DeleteWow. Perfect for fall.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful location!
