FoM: If you turned this picture just a little ... Me: There's nothing beyond what you see here already, I still frame my pictures as if I were shooting celluloid film. FoM: Why? Me: Habit I try to break, but rarely succeed.
Merisi, you have slightly disturbed my dreamy notion that work does not exist in Venice, except for gondoliers and Ms. Leon's detective and his colleagues.
Your photograph's composition and colors are so, so beautiful. xo
Oh dear! ;-) Donna Leon and her Commissario are certainly among those few people wealthily enough to be able to enjoy working AND living in Venice. Many struggle to make a living there, and even more cannot afford to live in Venice proper. They travel long distances between work and home.
What a lovely way to start one's day. It also reminds me of how much more Europeans walk where they are going compared to those of us in the states. Sam
Yes, that's so true! I have almost forgotten that if I am out of milk I don't need to hop in the car and drive, I can walk to several stores. I appreciate it very much, reduces daily stress a whole lot.

Why did auto correct make wealthily out of wealthy? ;-)
DeleteI'd like to commute to work in that manner!
ReplyDeleteIt was a little detour, but I loved it so much anyway, I passed that way, along the Laguna, on more than one morning.
