My new favorite place to eat!
I have been back several times since my first visit a few months ago.
It has been a pleasure each and every time (I am tempted to quote Baudelaire):
Friendly (actually an understatement) waiters -
love their stylish charcoal aprons -
and great food out of a kitchen staffed by, yes, cheerful cooks.
Right now I am addicted to their soft-shell crab dish, and the spicy salmon,
both pictured above. There are tough times ahead, though, my friends,
Mochi takes a short summer break from the 12th though the 19th of August.

DeleteI have not heard about Monocle, but according to Mercer's, Vienna is the best place to live, number one in the world, and that four years in a row. I can see why, after 8 years of living here (and I am NOT Viennese and moved here from two also very beautiful, albeit much larger cities).

DeleteI had never read anything by Neil Gaiman when I met him by chance at a Library of Congress book fair. I few kids were standing in line, with stacks of books, and that made me curious. I talked to him and he was so incredibly friendly, I simply had to go read his books afterwards. Best new author encounter ever! ;-)
