This year's Strawberry Moon, eagerly anticipated, hid behind the clouds!
Beautiful capture and a beautiful moon whatever the name!! Have a great week, Merisi!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sylvia - may your week be filled with joy,
DeleteMerisi
Does that mean we are officially in Summer?
ReplyDeleteCause I don't believe it!
Where's the strawberry?

Yes, Carol, you can now officially wear your bikini! ;-)
DeleteThe Strawberry? Could it be you left them at Strawberry Fields in Central Park?
I'll take Honey Moon - hotchachachaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite - not - is Green Corn Moon. ;-)
DeleteIt's hard not to be drawn toward the name Honey Moon.. it's just so romantic but they're all lovely names and that's an especially lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Hilary,
Deleteand I agree! ;-)
No one quite captures reality like you do, Merisi.
ReplyDeleteThis should be a book cover.
And, if you will excuse me, I am going to now go write the book, and then ask you for the rights to this moonscape!
Merci, Cip!
DeleteHow come I have to think of Cyrano de Bergerac when I read your lines???
And yes, get going, I want to see that book published, and soon!
The cover is yours.
. . . and the beastly thing kept me awake all night. It was freezing. Wouldn't mind having a strawberry moon, I guess ours would be in November.
ReplyDeleteLovely image.
We definitely are on opposite sides of the globe! It was hot all day, and when the clouds moved in, I opened all the windows and in the cool of the evening, listened to the raindrops while falling asleep.
DeleteAs a gardener I like the name Planting Moon, Merisi. On the last few nights I've been looking up and trying to see the 'supermoon', but it's been too cloudy here in the north of England.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the "super moon" is more a darling of esoterics than scientists. Quiet comfort when the clouds keep it hidden! ;-)
DeleteCoooool.
ReplyDeleteNeat! i think I like Rose Moon the best...yet all were very nice. Happy week~
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteCool moon shot .... and the name, got no favorite :)
