Where every bush was burning with the rose,
With million roses falling flake by flake
Upon the lawn in fading summer snows:
I read the Persian Poet's rhyme of old,
Each thought a ruby in a ring of gold?
Old thoughts so young, that, after all these years,
They're writ on every rose-leaf yet unrolled.
You may not know the secret tongue aright
The Sunbeams on their rosy tablets write;
Only a poet may perchance translate
Those ruby-tinted hieroglyphs of light.

Oh, what a beautiful garden, Merisi!! And your captures are fantastic! I love the colors and so much beauty -- I think I can smell them from here! I'd love to be able to spend some time there!! Thanks for sharing!! Hope your week is going well!
ReplyDeleteI just love roses, from the wild hedge roses to the modern teas that are so fat and overbred like company directors.
ReplyDeleteThe people sitting on the benches in all that splendour look so delightfully content.
Sitting and relaxing in a beautiful rose garden with a fountain would be a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and peaceful place to spend some time. I'm a fan of roses too - so many lovely varieties. Thank you very much for following my blog.
