Shadow and Light at Palais Liechtenstein
Vienna in Spring

Window
Palais Liechtenstein
Alsergrund

From the outside looking in
Even though I captured this image,
I am not sure I can figure out what
is a reflection and what not -
the tree was behind my back, the rest
was clamoring to be in the picture, too

A statue along the garden wall
enjoying more than a moment in the sun

A window on the shady side of the palace
reflects a tree and the top of a garden wall

Me too, me too,
shouted the wacky wall climber,
and there it is, in all its splendor,
the curlicues of the window frames
managed to squeeze in, too

  1. Number two is intriguing - it poses questions, but love all of the reflections and shadows.

  2. Palais Lichtenstein is a wonderful building. My wife and I went there to a private concert while we were touring Vienna. The music (of course) mostly Viennese, as part of our Amsterdam - Budapest River Cruise.
