View from Schönbrunn Palace
up Gloriette Hill
Walking up the wooded area
of Gloriette Hill and looking back at the palace
6:30 AM is too early for pictures,
protested the Mallard duck, and went right back to nap
And here they come,
and at a pace that left me in the dust
A group of school children walks towards
Schönbrunn Zoo, and I am ready to leave

I don't know, but I've been told,
ReplyDeleteSchönbrunn Park is Vienna's gold.
You know that if I make it to Vienna it's because of these pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I can't wait until it greens up around here!!!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely. : )
ReplyDeleteThe Schonbrunn looks beautiful in spring. We see the park in December. It was still beautiful. But it looked a bit sad.
ReplyDeleteAh, with sights like that to take in, even I might be tempted to rise with the dawn and go out...Especially if there was a good strong coffee and a pastry waiting for me at the other end of my ramblings.
ReplyDeleteLynne,
Deletethe park is near my home and I love getting some fresh air and exercise in the cool of the morning, and still be at my desk at 9 o'clock. Makes me feel oh so virtuous. ;-)
Is Vienna always so crisp, fresh and clean as well as showcasing such incredibly beautiful buildings and monuments OR are you using a very talented combination of your passion, skill and your camera to share with us your very special perspective? The city seems such a glorious place. I am sure as you say, you are seeking to capture the beautiful in every day.
ReplyDeleteAh, 'der Frühling, der Frühling, der Frühling ist da, gehen wir Tauben vergiften im Park.'
ReplyDeleteLovely delicate greens in the early morning light. I am glad you are an early riser, no wonder you frequent all those lovely cafes after your walks.
I can't believe how it changed almost overnight from deep snow to Springy gorgeousness!?
