Vienna in the Time of Puppenkrapfen
Coffee, anyone?

Coffee Melange and Puppenkrapfen
Puppenkrapfen at Demel may well be compared
to the first flowers that herald the arrival of spring,
only that these delicious morsels
promise a carnival season in full swing

While a Krapfen
is usually the size of a donut -
albeit one without a hole -
a Puppenkrapfen is a smaller version,
dainty enough for Puppen,
the German word for "dolls".
One of the cutest food names
I have encountered here.

Puppenkrapfen
How to pronounce it?
Alright, here we go,
everybody pronounce:
Poop-pen-crap-fen!
You are not laughing, are you?

I should do something about that spelling, I suppose. ;-)

    2. I wonder if I should change that to "kʀapfn̩"?

    4. P.S.:
I am sitting here over pictures of a photo shoot made in abysmal light conditions, trying to make something useable out of at least some of them because I don't have the heart the tell the client that it is all crap (even though we had an understanding that the conditions were nearly impossible, but I would give it a try). *tata*

Lest you were wondering why there are no new posts. And my comments are being made during pomodoro breaks (which happen more frequently by the hour!).

In case you are wondering what that Pomodoro (tomato in Italian) means, here's the answer:
      Pomodoro Technique
A really great technique if you need to push ahead with work that has no real structure. You sort of get to pat yourself on the head every 25 minutes, which is nice. Says me. ;-)
