Schönbrunn Park
If she had been the Mistletoe
And I had been the Rose --
How gay upon your table
My velvet life to close --
Since I am of the Druid,
And she is of the dew --
I'll deck Tradition's buttonhole --
And send the Rose to you.

Love the tangle of twigs and branches etching the blue of the sky! And the mistletoe is like a feature in the scene! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat! A place for kisses!
ReplyDeletePerfect capture for the holidays, Merisi! Have a wonderful weekend and a very Merry Christmas!

Any chance one could kiss Mozart or Johan Strauss there?
ReplyDeleteMerisi, I would love to see a photo of knowing folks having a special Christmas kiss or three under this tree. Perhaps strolling potential kissing couples have only eyes for each other and do not look up.

Frances,
Deleteyou comment made me chuckle, and here is why:
There are so many trees with mistletoe around Vienna, even in Inner City parks, it would be one big Kiss Feast if everyone snatched his or her partner for a kiss! ;-)
Wow, I've never seen so much mistletoe on one tree before!
ReplyDeleteI am so enjoying your Christmas-in-Vienna posts, Marisi.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful festive holiday.
How very lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Mistletoe and poetry!
