For a brief shining Moment
Christmastime in Vienna

On the Third Sunday of Advent
The city woke to a grey, leaden sky,
no sunlight came through until mid-afternoon
when a bank of clouds broke up,
revealing a bright wintry blue sky to the east,

and the sun flooded
the upper floors and rooftops

with a bright golden light,
stopping me in my tracks,

it all seemed
so unreal,

such an incredibly beautiful
brief shining moment

  7. We all live to catch those bright shiny moments, don't we? Whether it's with a camera, a brush, a dance, melodies, etc.
