Christmastime in Vienna
Around Town in December

Christmastime in Vienna
Angels appearing in the windows
of Café Mozart are a sure sign of the season

Eroica Room
Ludwig van Beethoven conducted
the first performances of two of his symphonies
in the Eroica room of Palais Lobkowitz -
Nowadays this once private palais is the home
of the Austrian Theater Museum
and open to the public

Mistletoe
Spotted at Palais Lobkowitz

If she had been the Mistletoe
And I had been the Rose --
How gay upon your table
My velvet life to close --
Since I am of the Druid,
And she is of the dew --
I'll deck Tradition's buttonhole --
And send the Rose to you.
Emily Dickinson
