Around Town
Christmastime in Vienna

Mallard Ducks in Stadtpark
happily lining up for their morning routine

Morning Walk
along the Wien River

Busy Shoppers
picking up provisions
for their Christmas feast

A Tree Ornament
depicting a wood-carved angel from Val Gardena
on a Christmas tree alongside St. Stephen's cathedral

Christmas Tree Lot
at Graben Square, still open

Demel Advent Calendar
a window filled with poppyseed strudel

The Oyster Bar
in front of Zum Schwarzen Kameel
is open again, festively lit

Artfully decorated window
of the same restaurant

A Christmas tree,
in silent conversation with
the old-fashioned telephone booth?
Singerstrasse

We are ready to go home,
and kiss the mistletoe goodnight,
aren't we?

  4. Love the red boot lady and her companion. The poppy seed strudel is also traditional for Christmas in Poland.
