  1. I like being at an outdoor eating place and see the birds hopping around looking for tidbits.

    1. Quartermaine has a counter right in front of a large window, where you can sip your coffee and watch the birds and other passersby. My favorite spot in my old hometown.

  2. Love the first photo - these ladies know how to wear mocha and latte and coordinate nicely with coffee coloured surroundings.

    1. I almost missed them: I was riding down the escalator from Williams Sonoma when I spotted them. I managed to pull out my camera just in time. ;-)

They do have china cups! ;-)

Quartermaine has an interesting history, it was founded by one of the original Starbucks owners, Jerry Baldwin. Their coffee tastes way better than Starbucks, though. And it always liked the atmosphere there, one of my favorite hangouts way back, before Bethesda Row went all upscale (no misunderstanding: it is still as nice and vibrant as ever).
