Vienna in Autumn
Josef Frank's Werkbundsiedlung

Indian Summer Afternoon
Werkbundsiedlung
13th District

"Vienna’s Werkbundsiedlung,
a workers’ association housing complex,
is one of the few Werkbund ensembles
from the 1920s and 1930s
that remains intact."

"Thirty-one renowned architects,
including Josef Hoffmann and Adolf Loos,
worked under the direction of Josef Frank and constructed
the modernist architectural complex in 1932."

  2. Two weeks in vienna was not enough. I love that architecture and wanted to see it up close. But I only saw two places, from which I could not derive any good picture : Heiligenstadt, of course ( the yards were under renovation ) and the one by Kardinal-Nagl-Platz ( I did not spend enough time there ).
