ReplyDeleteYou may have noticed that I have done away with CAPTCHA a long time ago. In the more than a year and a half now I have had maybe two spam comments slip through Blogger's excellent spam filter.
I often visit other blogs and would like to comment, but give up after multiple futile attempts at jumping through those CAPTCHA hoops.
Just my experience, maybe encouraging those who still hang on to CAPTCHA on Blogger blogs?

I did away with it too...it started feeling like some sort of test in frustration. The gold & blue are stunning! It contrasts to our gray rainy day here in Maine...

And I agree with you about the CAPTCHA situation. So many people complained to me about it. So I disengaged it, and Blogger is pretty good at filtering out the riff-raff. I get email notifications, but no appearances of the defilement, on the actual page.

ReplyDeleteYou are SO right about the CAPCHA. Since it doesn't stop all the spam anyway, I have now replaced it with comment moderation.
