  1. Dear Readers:
You may have noticed that I have done away with CAPTCHA a long time ago. In the more than a year and a half now I have had maybe two spam comments slip through Blogger's excellent spam filter.

I often visit other blogs and would like to comment, but give up after multiple futile attempts at jumping through those CAPTCHA hoops.

Just my experience, maybe encouraging those who still hang on to CAPTCHA on Blogger blogs?

Wishing you all a wonderful day,
    Merisi

    1. I don't think I still have CAPTCHA on my blog.
Please tell me if I do and I will remove the dreaded beast.

  2. I am with you, Merisi, on the CAPTCHA thing.
Have a glorious fall weekend, golden and blue as on your first photo.

  3. I couldn't agree more about that annoying, word verification rubbish - but your morning gold puts a smile back on my face!

  4. A shady courtyard is a good argument for happiness.

  5. Yes, I agree with you, Blogger does a good enough job, I don't have that many unwanted visitors either -- fortunately! I love your lovely gold in the morning and the shady courtyard! Wonderful captures as always, Merisi! Have a beautiful weekend

  7. I did away with it too...it started feeling like some sort of test in frustration. The gold & blue are stunning! It contrasts to our gray rainy day here in Maine...

  8. Loving your golden leaves against the blue sky
It's rainy and dreary here like a March day...

I am DEEPLY grateful I don't have to deal with a CAPTCHA when I come here.
    Most appreciated!!!

  9. You know, Merisi -- it's not only your pictures, but the entirely apropos captions!
That Poe citation is the very thing, for those curtains.
And hey, I think I fixed my blog somewhat with the latest kafuffle. You are now, not only back on my blogroll, but now, the more you post, the more you are at the TOP of it.
    And every time, deservedly.
And I agree with you about the CAPTCHA situation. So many people complained to me about it. So I disengaged it, and Blogger is pretty good at filtering out the riff-raff. I get email notifications, but no appearances of the defilement, on the actual page.
    All the best to you.

  10. Beautiful fall photos, Merisi. I'm with you on not liking the Captcha comment form. They are so hard to decipher! Even with my glasses! Best wishes for a lovely weekend. xx

  11. Those fiendish Captcha things have stopped me commenting more than once on blogs I really like.

  12. I love the morning dreams.

That's why I am not accomplishing much of anything this morning.

I can't get past the rabbit trails that various blogs are taking me on this morning.

    Maybe that's okay anyway.

It gets my juices flowing and the "battery" charged too.

I guess I am feeling very "senior" today.

  13. Perfect gold.

You are SO right about the CAPCHA. Since it doesn't stop all the spam anyway, I have now replaced it with comment moderation.
