In the Time of Lilacs
Springtime in Vienna


Vienna's awash in Lilacs
this time of the year,
lilacs in the shade,

lilacs in the sun,
looking up a church steeple,

scent of lilac
reaching the farthest corners

    One of my favourite flowers. I went to the botanical gardens in Warsaw with my daughter last Saturday and lilacs were in full bloom there as well. I love the colours (whites, pinks, violets) and the scent. We had a lovely afternoon.
