"Si sta facendo sempre più tardi"
is one of my favorite books by the Italian writer Antonio Tabucchi. Alas, I was not even thinking of Tabucchi while I wrote the title of this post, but reflecting on how everything stays in flux, the season, the day, life, how it is getting later all the time, indeed.

Everyone is talking about THAT book!
Paris Breakfasts:
ReplyDeleteCarol,
Tabucchi passed away last week.
Would you have any links regarding the book?
My post today was kind of on the same thing. Life moving on, time passing.
ReplyDeleteLovely.. and such vibrant colours.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was the beer he was drinking that provided healing! lol!
ReplyDeleteCharles,
ReplyDeletecarpe diem.
Hilary,
thank you! :-)
Simon,
I'd say it certainly did no harm. ;-)
Whenever I walk by the Aussie pub here, I think of you and if they keep the beer in the freezer! xxx

Beautiful lighting. How wonderful it must be to be surrounded by so many cafes. I will have to inquire about the book at the library.
ReplyDeleteWow! Love the big clock and the bold colours!

I wrote those words more than three years ago.
Only today, rereading old letters, from friends now lost forever, can I truly understand the meaning.
Love all the RED
ReplyDeleteAnything to do with Josefh Hoffman?
So graphic a post...
Not that I know of, Carol. Merci xxx
DeleteIt's interesting to think about ... where would one want to stop time, if one could? Wonder how that would work? Is the bookl you discuss in translation?
