  5. Hm, is he the one sitting in the bookshelf? In front of the blue books?

  6. Merry Christmas, Merisi. Yes, I did eventually find the nutcracker among the wrappings on the floor but first I noticed that promising bottle of wine on the table.

Is it my imagination, or did you post a similar photo last year?

  10. Thank you all for your kind comments and wishes!
I hope you are all enjoying the holidays,
    with best wishes,

    Britt-Arnhild:
You found a Christmas gnome, hanging out with the encyclopedias. ;-)

    Paz:
    Very nice try! :-)

    Hint:
He does not look like the Coca Cola Santa. ;-)
He has a more European look, even though an American friend hand-carved and painted him.

  11. Ok, then. Almost in the middle of the photo, a little to the right. With a black (or dark blue) hat?

Your livingroom looks so bright and playful :-)

  12. BrittArnhild:
What is standing next to him?
    (I think you guessed right!)

  13. To the right of him is an off white book :-)

I am reading my illustrated book The Nutckracker today, and listening to the music.

  14. If Britt-Arnhild is correct, then I see the white book next to him, too. Who got to clean up, I wonder?

  15. Looks just like Christmas at our house. Inevitably you end up losing at least one little gift among the aftermath.

  16. Happy Christmas!

(The nutcracker is standing on the floor just next to a book sitting up on end, to his right.)
