Christmastime in Vienna
Christmas Trees in Annagasse

Hotel Römischer Kaiser
I love looking upward and admire
the balcony of this more than
300 year old Palais, decorated
with young Norway spruces -
so simple, and so elegant

Annagasse

Looking up
through the Christmas tree
Haus der Musik

Ludwig van Beethoven
Not happy
about the grey sky -
maybe a tiny spruce
would cheer him up?
Haus der Musik

Annagasse
May well be my favorite street
in all of Vienna!

    Merisi,

I do so enjoy your site, especially your photography. You have such a wonderful eye. If ever I am feeling down, I visit your site and it lifts my spirits.

    Cheers,
    Maggie

  4. So pretty! Love that in the second photo it looks like they stopped decorating where they couldn't reach!

  5. How interesting that the tree in the Haus de Musik is decorated only up to a certain point! Is there some deep meaning to it, or have they simply not finished the job, I wonder.

    Sara,
maybe they wanted to express "allegro, ma non troppo"? ;-)
