Thank you all for your wonderful and encouraging comments! I relish each and everyone, I truly do. :-)
VP, I did photograph where it was allowed, at the Biennale, but I was trying hard to concentrate on a project I am working on. I will try to post images that give a more general idea of the Biennale exhibitions themselves.
Very nice shots, Merisi. Painterly. The light/pastels. (As is appropriate for your title.) xo
ReplyDeleteOh, these are wonderful, Merisi! They almost look like paintings.
ReplyDeleteAre you staying in Venice a little longer? I will land there this Saturday: it would be wonderful to meet over coffee.
ReplyDeleteThose photographs are exquisite !!!
ReplyDeleteTheir colours and light appeal to me!
I'm sailing across my dream ...

Ahhh need some of that sunshine. Love the middle picture with the woman caught in the sunlight.
ReplyDeleteDie Bilder strahlen so viel Ruhe und Harmonie aus! Phantastisch!
ReplyDeleteHi Merisi - When did you take up watercolors? :)
ReplyDeleteLL
I can't wait - this looks beautiful :) I love the pastel colors too!
ReplyDeleteI honestly thought the first photo was a pastel/watercolor at first! I like what you've done with these photos.
ReplyDeleteSara Lorayne,
ReplyDeleteI simply overexposed the pictures!
I used my 50mm lens, @ f/1.4 and at
ISO 400 (I had just stepped out of one of the exhibition halls and forgotten to lower the ISO).
I have been experimenting a lot with a style and look that suits me, one that goes beyond taking a technically correct picture.
I am curious about more glimpses on the Biennale...
ReplyDeleteAren't we lucky you went to Venice !? ;-) Fantastic pictures !
