An enchanted Evening
Viennese Escapes

An enchanted Evening
While the grapes we had picked
during the afternoon were sent
through the press

I had a wonderful time
taking pictures of zinnias
illuminated by the warm evening sun

  2. Merisi...your Zinnias are gorgeous! Mine died out from excessive heat and
    No rain in July. XO

  4. Merisi, zinnias are flowers that I so loved in childhood. I thought that they had all the paint box colors, or perhaps in my childhood, it was more of the Crayola color assortment? No matter what it was, I just loved their petals's hues, but did not truly love the feel of their stems and leaves.

    Oh what a confession!

Thank you for your visit and comments. I am still reading Mr Zweig, inbetween the lighter fare that I mentioned in my post. Promising to write about his writing eventually.

  6. My favorite is the second photo - such a bright, rich color.

  7. I also love zinnias -- especially as cut flowers in my kitchen, but the heat this summer was too excessive in Minnesota and their blooms were disappointing.

the rich golden light of the early evening illuminated the flower beds, it was a delight to capture it.
