*) These grapes look and taste
like the American "Concord" grapes.
Italians call them uva fragola - strawberry grapes -
for their pronounced wild strawberry aroma.
In the Swiss Ticino region,
this same grape is sometimes called "uva Americana".

Wish I was there.

Sweet memories ! Hmmm, and what about La Cantinetta dei Verrazzano ? ...and Cantinetta Antinori ? not for coffee ! :-)
ReplyDeleteI guess you dream of coffee the way I dream of gelato..
ReplyDeleteBut gelato is thousands of miles away whereas coffee is just around the corner for you...
Lana made me a nice coffee with baileys in it this morning. Was tres good.
ReplyDeleteThe cafe looks incredible. What I wouldn't give to sample some of the dessert. You're very lucky to have visited. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI can smell the aroma from here.
ReplyDeleteCups filled with hot warmth and flavor, and empty cups, sure to have satisfied the partakers...I want to hear the voices of the people, you make all so real;)
ReplyDeleteSam,
ReplyDeleteyes, indeed, that would be great! :-)
Viviane,
I shall be there in about 4 weeks! ;-)
Paris Breakfasts,
I feel so lucky that we have not only good coffee, but real Italian gelato ice cream - made by Italian families -- here in Vienna!
Charles Gramlich,
ReplyDeletethat Bailey would put me immediately back to bed! ;-)
El,
yes, very lucky! :-)
Martin,
I close my eyes and join you where the aromas mingle!
Mary,
earthly delights for all the senses!
