Merisi, it's such fun to see these summer posts, and to be able to reply from New York before that predicted thunderstorm sweeps across the Hudson River from New Jersey (the source of most of our weather.)
Since I was and am a September baby, I love the autumn and spring seasons best of all.
Wait, let me edit that best of all. I really like your posts from Vienna very near the tip of best of all, no matter what the season.
I love this sequence and the idea behind it! I can just imagine a photographic project involving shots taken over the course of a day or the seasons ... but oh, you would need time on your hands sitting behind this door for so long! And actually, I'm intrigued about where you were when you took these. Do tell us what is on this side of the door? Also, btw, Merisi, thanks for the fascinating post on the Habsburg funeral - a truly historic event.

I love your photography here. The idea of looking through the doorway is sensational. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAh, the magic of an open door. That last shot-- with the diagonal line beyond -- is lovely.

I was standing squeezed to the right side as far away from the doorframe as possible (which was not very far).
