... you had me olive tapenade.
ReplyDeleteMerisi, I love the way you capture everyday things and places and turn them into works of art.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you for a weekend as beautiful as your pictures.
Exquisite photos! Love the red shoes in front of the red door. My friend and I are planning an Italian vacation next summer and Vienna will defnitely have to be one of our destinations. You make it look so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow strange, the name Babette. I'm reading a story right now featuring a Babette character. She's a poodle in this case, though.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely summer meal. Your photos are stunning and really convey a sense of place. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteIt all looks wonderful. I've always wanted to go to Vienna!
ReplyDeleteBoy, you made my mouth water with that first picture.
ReplyDeleteLove the red shoes and red door too.
I just LOVE tapenade, especially the black one. I love it served on bread toasts with dried cherry tomatoes (+ feta) !!!
ReplyDeleteAHHHH !!!!
Marie-Noëlle
Cobalt Violet,
ReplyDeleteI did not ask, but I feel sure that Babette made the tapenade from scratch.
Southern Lady,
thank you, a wonderful weekend to you too!
Linda Jacobs,
thank you and happy planning! :-)
Charles Gramlich,
ReplyDeletemy first encounter with the name was when I read Isak Dinesen's (Karen Blixen) "Babette's Feast" (also a great movie).
Mary,
ReplyDeletethank you,
a wonderful weekend to you too! :-)
Welshcakes Limoncello,
a Vienna trip should be in your future! ;-)
Photowannabe,
it was a perfect summer lunch!
Marie-Noëlle,
black olive tapenade is so versatile and Babette's was exquite! She (rather, Bernadette, the young cooks real name) served also oven roasted half cherry tomatoes, so sweet and succulent, a perfect marriage with the tapenade.
Love the red door and shoes!
